7. Versions

7.1. 2026.11.04

  • Added: Alignment Solver — 3D mode (Tools ▸ Alignment Settings…, Use 3D mode). Chainage is the 3D length along the axis and sections are perpendicular to it, so a vertical shaft or a steep incline can be set out and measured. Section azimuth orients the section of a shaft. Setout / Measure show section coordinates U / V and R / Theta in place of superelevation and turn. The flag and the azimuth are stored in .alm and LandXML

  • Fixed: Alignment Solver — the Slope column (Setout, Measure, Compare and the batch results) was shown 100 times too large. The grade is already a percent

  • Added: User manual — Alignment Solver: 3D mode and vertical shafts

7.2. 2026.10.07

  • Added: Drone module — Drone Tools, a container for drone tools (same list + panel layout as the Survey Calculator, with its own registry)

  • Added: Drone Tools — DJI PPK (Matrice): post-processes the GNSS log of a DJI Matrice 4E / 3E / 350+P1 flight (.OBS/.NAV/.MRK + photos) against a static base RINEX on a known EGSA87 point and writes per-photo camera positions in EGSA87 / EPSG:2100 with orthometric heights (CSV for Metashape / Pix4D, XLSX, KML). Automatic signal matching between drone and base, a retry ladder of elevation masks / constellations, drone-tuned dynamics, antenna-height and ANTEX checks, and quality checks against the drone’s on-board RTK. EGM2008 (Greece) geoid and the IGS20 ANTEX file are supplied; further geoid models are a .gtx file drop

  • Added: DJI PPK — Write positions into photos: writes the PPK camera positions into the photos’ EXIF GPS and DJI / Pix4D XMP tags (WGS84, ellipsoidal or orthometric height, PPK accuracies)

  • Added: DJI PPK — choice of EGSA87 transformation: EPSG:1272 3-parameter shift or the official HEPOS 7-parameter + Ktimatologio 2 km grid with the HEPOS geoid (supplied)

  • Added: DJI PPK — base from a CORS baseline when the base was not on a known point: CORS RINEX + published coordinates, static CORS -> base solve, the base E/N/H filled in with the chosen transformation

  • Added: Drone Tools — Flight log: per-photo on-board RTK status, accuracy and position from the MRK, with the PPK result beside it; summary, map, charts, table, KML / CSV export

  • Added: Drone Tools — Camera positions converter: camera positions from the PPK result or the drone’s MRK for Metashape, Pix4D, RealityCapture, OpenDroneMap or generic CSV, in EGSA87 or WGS84, with accuracies

  • Added: Drone Tools — PDF reports of the DJI PPK solution (inputs, settings, result, quality checks, sketch, camera positions, log) and of the Flight log (summary, map, charts, table), written with the internal PDF writer and the Company Info profile of the Network Adjustment report

  • Added: GNSS engine on Windows — iqrtk.dll is now built and shipped, so GNSS Processing also runs on Windows

  • Added: GNSS engine on Linux — libiqrtk.so rebuilt to the current interface (ABI 3, kinematic solve), so GNSS Processing and DJI PPK run on Linux again; the geoid models and the IGS20 ANTEX file are now shipped in the Linux folder too

  • Fixed: GNSS static baselines were misread on a Greek (comma-decimal) Windows: a fixed baseline came back float or failed (also GNSS Processing)

  • Fixed: a Stonex *.ALM almanac next to a RINEX file is no longer used as navigation data (km-level orbits, float baselines)

  • Added: User manual — Drone Tools: DJI PPK, Flight log and Camera positions converter chapters

7.3. 2026.09.13

  • Fixed: Network Adjustment — the sign of the curvature-and-refraction term in the 3D zenith observation equation. Every trigonometric height carried an error of 2·(1-k)·d²/(2R); on a 1.5 km braced tunnel traverse this accumulated to 11 mm

  • Changed: Network Adjustment — zenith, slope-distance and horizontal-distance observation equations are evaluated in ground space (the grid separation is un-reduced by the combined grid factor), so residuals come out in the units of the observations’ standard deviations. Validated against STAR*NET on two independent networks: heights agree to 0.1 mm (was 10.9 mm) and σ₀ to 0.2 % (was about 5 %)

  • Fixed: Network Adjustment — per-type error factors are computed from the a-priori standardised residuals over each group’s summed redundancy numbers, so the group rows of the statistics table agree with the StdRes column and the Total row; the “Sum Squares of StdRes” column is accumulated from the printed StdRes values

  • Fixed: Network Adjustment — relative confidence columns (azimuth and distance) use the 2-D 95 % factor 2.4477 instead of 1.96, matching the error ellipses and STAR*NET; they were about 20 % optimistic

  • Added: Network Adjustment — adjusted azimuth tables (text and PDF) report the ground distance alongside the grid distance

  • Added: Network Adjustment — error-propagation tables carry the “Adjustment Failed the Chi-Square Test / Scaled by Total Error Factor” note when the test fails

  • Added: Network Adjustment — text and PDF reports open with a full STAR*NET-style Summary of Files Used and Option Settings (project details, every setting that went into the solve, default instrument standard errors, GNSS baseline settings), so a run can be reproduced from the report alone

7.4. 2026.07.13

  • Added: Calculations module — Level Editor: editor and adjustment tool for geometric (spirit / digital) leveling. Imports Trimble DiNi M5 raw files (.DAT, with automatic two-face detection), Excel setup tables (.xlsx) and benchmark CSVs; editable runs/setups with live reduction; single-line misclosure adjustment (by-distance or by-setups distribution, k·√L or 2σ√n tolerance with PASS/FAIL verdict); dual-line two-face closure check per span; least-squares height network adjustment (Sigma0, per-mark std deviations, standardized residuals, blunder flagging); plan + profile sketches with zoom/pan and PNG/clipboard export; booking report with Excel workbook and PDF export; .lvproj project files. Sample data under testfiles/Level_Editor/

  • Added: User manual — Calculations: Level Editor chapter

  • Added: Analytics module — Teramon Tools: a read-only QA / instrument health viewer for teramon automated-monitoring projects. Loads a project’s per-cycle .xml (plus companion .res resection reports and .log telemetry) and surfaces five views — Overview, Resection (with drift chart and out-of-limit row flagging), Completeness (missing points per cycle and per-point availability), Environment & Instrument telemetry, and Cycles & Timing (missed-cycle detection). Projects load by picking the .trm file; interactive TAChart trends (zoom / pan / legend click to show/hide a series / axis-range) and one-click Excel (.xlsx) export of all views. Deformation of the monitored points is out of scope

  • Added: User manual — Analytics: Teramon Tools chapter

7.5. 2026.07.06

  • Added: Transformations — Sketch sub-tab in the results panel: two side-by-side plan views of the source-system and target-system control points with mouse-wheel zoom and drag pan. Points are colored by state (blue = matched active, gray = unmatched, red X = deactivated/outlier) and labelled by ID; each view draws a dashed convex hull around the active matched points, a scale bar and a north arrow. The sketches refresh live on every import, edit, toggle or project load

  • Added: Transformations — after Calculate, the target sketch shows the per-point residuals as red arrows, auto-exaggerated so the largest residual spans ~10% of the drawing, with the exaggeration factor in a corner legend (e.g. residuals x5000); arrows clear automatically when the point data changes

  • Added: User manual — Transformations: Geometry Sketch chapter

  • Added: Survey Calculator — Greek Projections calculator: precise tachymetric coordinates in the Greek reference systems (EGSA’87, TM3, UTM, HATT, LOCAL) from station/backsight setups and total-station measurements. Multi-station field book with chained point resolution (a later station may occupy or backsight a point computed earlier), full correction pipeline (height difference with curvature/refraction, sea-level and arc reductions, Simpson line-scale factor m, arc-to-chord t−T angle correction); bit-for-bit parity with the legacy Provolika tool

  • Added: Greek Projections — four tabs: Measurements (field book with an ST/BS/MS type drop-down and computed columns), Coordinates (all points/stations, with Export xlsx), Sketch (plan view — stations as triangles, points as dots, with Export DXF) and Options (projection, radius, refraction, fixed m, per-category display decimals, an Auto calc m checkbox and a two-X scale-factor m calculator)

  • Added: Greek Projections — Excel (.xlsx) import/export of the field book; a ready-to-use sample workbook is installed under testfiles/EGSA solver/

  • Added: IQcalc engine — new iqcalc.provolika (grid constants, stateless correction functions and a reusable TIQProvolikaSolver) and iqcalc.provolika.fieldbook (multi-station registry with chained resolution and a spreadsheet-agnostic row model), reusable by other software independently of SurveyTools

  • Added: User manual — Survey Calculator: Greek Projections chapter, and screenshots for the Free Station, Precise Trig Leveling, OMA L4 and Greek Projections chapters

  • Added: Greek Projections — the Import button now offers a source menu (Excel file… / Geodimeter job file…). Geodimeter / Trimble .job raw observation files import directly into the field book; a sample job is installed at testfiles/EGSA solver/geodemeter/jiakoymhs.job

  • Fixed: Greek Projections — a station occupying a point computed from an earlier setup now inherits that point’s height instead of 0, so heights of all points shot from chained stations are correct. Coordinates typed for the initial control, including a backsight’s height, now also appear in the Coordinates tab

7.6. 2026.07.05

  • Added: Survey Calculator — OMA L4 (Athens Metro) calculator: conversions between the Line 4 local grid (OMA), EGSA’87 and WGS84 in three flavours (project frame / real-world / TBC “global grid”), batch point grid, DMS output, Google-Maps links and KML export (real-world frame only); millimetre-level grid conversions validated against the published Line 4 network, real-world WGS84 verified ~0.9 m against the network’s GNSS positions

  • Added: IQcalc engine — new iqcalc.geodesy unit (Transverse Mercator forward/inverse with latitude of origin, geodetic↔ECEF, exact 7-parameter Helmert, 2D similarity, geographic DMS formatting) and iqcalc.oma preset, ported from the verified Python reference

  • Added: User manual — Survey Calculator section: Free Station, Precise Trig Leveling and OMA L4 chapters

  • Added: Alignment Solver — Greek PSYMO import/export: S01 horizontal PIs (all spiral parameter forms: length, A, diversion ΔR, cubic parabola), S02 vertical PVIs (radius form) and S03 superelevations

  • Added: Alignment Solver — ASCII import/export for all cross-section collections (Superelevation L/R, Horizontal/Vertical Offset, Superelevation Offset L/R, Widening L/R, Cant); ASCII horizontal element import now reconstructs arcs and clothoids

  • Added: Alignment Solver — third-party exports (Export > Other Formats): Trimble TGO ASCII (.tdf), Anadelta (.xyv), TCP-Tunnel Aplitop (.eje + .ras), Amberg GRP Office, NRG / NST string file (.nst), Bentley InRoads ASCII

  • Added: Alignment Solver — alignment tree with per-side / per-axis nodes and live element counts; toolbar icons for the plan / profile views
